Questions

Why 1 to 3 words a caption?

Short lines are read at a glance while the viewer watches. Long lines make people choose between reading and watching.

How is the highlighted word picked?

A number first, otherwise the most meaningful word in the line. Change it in your editor if another word matters more.

How are the .srt times worked out?

From a typical speaking pace of about 160 words a minute. Line them up with your real audio in your editor.
